Girls Inc. serves girls and their families through year-round academic enrichment
and skills building programs that focus on self-reliance, leadership, STEM education,
economic literacy, substance abuse prevention, violence prevention, healthy life
choices and career exploration. Girls Inc.
programs build self-esteem, foster
creativity, and promote critical thinking skills.
Onsite we serve girls through our After School Enrichment Program, Summer Camp and
Career Exploration programs. We also provide Girls Inc. research based programs
off-site. We currently conduct after school programs through the Discovery Club
(funded through a grant from the Amelia Peabody Foundation and the Rogers
Family Foundation) and a dropout prevention program at Haverhill High School
that serves both boys and girls (Funded by AT&T). This year we are planning to
expand our partnership with the public schools and provide other girl focused
programs in other locations in the community.
